a little swiss haven
helpful staff breakfast selection convenient location
the staff welcomed us warmly upon arrival i recall pierre, fikreta, and celine. i especially appreciated the breakfast it featured sausages, potato cakes and scrambled eggs. the selection of cheeses and muesli with fruit were lovely the hotel's proximity to the bus stop and a short walk to the lake made exploring easy.
the elevator felt small it only accommodated one person with luggage at a time it required multiple trips.

good location self-controlled ac intense smell electric socket
the location was good. it was near the lake and plenty of restaurants were close by. the self-controlled ac worked well in the room, which i found to be a plus.
the smell of cheese was intense. it was in the reception area and the corridor, disturbing. also, the electric sockets did not fit the plugs for the tea pot, and there was no chance to make a warm drink.

Underwhelming Stay. Some Issues Need Addressing.
expensive minibar firm pillows
I found a couple of things disappointing. The minibar prices felt excessive considering the convenience store next door offered the same items much cheaper. the pillows were quite firm, I needed to fold them over just to get minimal support. That hardly, I must say.

authentic swiss experience
large rooms high pressure coffee machine
the large rooms easily accommodated two large suitcases. Showers had high pressure. A coffee machine was available. Breakfast included many pastries and breads.
i found that the reception staff gave subpar service on one occasion. a private car reservation was not made, despite email confirmation from the front desk manager.

the room was clean and nice, and the bed was comfortable. White fluffy towels were provided and items were replenished. Pillows were soft, but they exchanged them for a firm pillow when requested.

the hotel restaurant features a cool Swiss style chalet aesthetic! Breakfast was easy and ok, with lots of pastries and breads. i thought the apple juice was the best, though omlets required a special order.

the staff was very friendly and accommodating to guest needs. Extra shower gel was provided when requested, this detail was appreciated. The location was great for accessing nearby grocery stores, and its only ten minutes from the train station

lack of air conditioning uncomfortable bed
the location proved advantageous, offering convenient access to the lake. i found it quite easy to reach various points of interest from there.
I found the lack of air conditioning in the room quite bothersome. it, hindering my ability to rest properly. the bed felt short. I struggled to get comfortable. these issues impacted my overall experience negatively.

Excellent Stay
helpful staff beautiful decorations super comfort
The staff was friendly and helpful. They stored luggage for four days while I hiked in the Alps. The rooms feature beautiful decorations and a very clean environment. The bed provided super comfort (I almost did not want to leave the room).
There was a slight smell in the hotel, possibly from the restaurant.

The room offered chocolates on the pillows, two bottles of water, and a bottle of wine on ice. Two chocolate bars, tea, coffee, and bathroom toiletries were also available. The air conditioning worked very well.

The hotel is located a ten-minute walk from the train station. It seemed safe to walk around the area alone at night (an added bonus for solo travelers).

Before my stay, I sent an email with questions and received responses within the hour. Upon arrival a few hours early, the receptionist stored my bags. She also made my room available immediately, very convenient.
